MFMG releases R&D Project Prospectus 2026

The list of prioritised 2026 MFMG Projects is now available.

These projects link directly to the R&D priorities identified by the MFMG Operations Committee and the ideas gathered at the annual Research & Development Planning Forums.

This year’s Prospectus spans water, soil, cropping and livestock, along with what we’ve termed the ‘Nexus’—the intersection of health soil, plants, animal and business to drive whole-farm performance and resilience. By teasing out the ‘Why', the ‘Aim ’ and the ‘Outcome’ of each priority - supported by a proposed timeline and indicative investment levels - the R&D Prospectus offers a practical framework for collaboration and delivery ensuring outcomes translate into real benefits for farmers.

We hope this Prospectus sparks interest and inspires our industry partners to get involved - government funding bodies, research and development corporations, ag industry advocates, grower groups and tertiary institutions.
