The MacKillop Farm Management Group is calling for expressions of interest to join us for a Highlights of Tasmania Ag Study Tour, proposed for 5 to 9 September 2022.

The MacKillop Group’s Highlights of Tasmania Ag Study Tour will find out what's driving the growth and optimism in agriculture in Tasmania, examining hyper yielding crops, agribusiness entrepreneurs and innovators, plant industries (e.g. poppy, hemp, seed production), grazing and cropping systems and research.

“Our study tours have become a tradition - building friendships, knowledge and learning from agricultural systems in a different regions”, said MacKillop Group CEO, Meg Bell. “The benefits of taking the time out of your business are wide ranging. Previous participants have been reinvigorated and reenergised, learnt from others, established new networks and broadened their knowledge and experience. As Ken Solly always says, ‘getting off your own dung heap’ has enormous benefits to your business as well as your personal life’”.

Participants of past study tours have said:
“Great study tour listening to great business people. It exceeded my expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed myself”; and
“This was a fantastic tour and I've found myself bringing it up in conversations ever since, it was such a good variety of enterprises and I really enjoyed it! So well organised and I can't wait for the next one”.
