Melissa Browne, best-selling author and financial educator, to visit Limestone Coast

The Limestone Coast Women in Ag Network will host Melissa Browne, best-selling author, financial educator and serial entrepreneur for a Financial Resilience vs Financial Wellness workshop for women on 3 November in Naracoorte.

The workshop will examine the concepts of Financial Awareness – your money story, whether you think money is good, bad or ok, your money type, gaining an understanding as to who you are financially and the practical steps you can take to make change. Mel will also host a panel discussing career paths in ag, providing guidance and experience from local women.

Melissa Browne is an ex-accountant, ex-financial advisor and ex-working til she drops. Nowadays she’s a best-selling author, financial educator and serial entrepreneur who is passionate about helping women particularly also live a life by design not default. Mel is the CEO of melissabrowne.com.au, an education business for women who want to financially grow up, either personally or within their business.

Mel is also the author of four books, the illustrated business book More Money for Shoes, the coffee table book of financial fairy tales, Fabulous but Broke, global best-seller Unf*ck Your Finances and her latest book Budgets Don’t Work (but this does) which dives further into understanding your Money Story, Money Environment and Money Type.

“We’re very excited to host Melissa Browne in the Limestone Coast”, said MacKillop Group CEO, Meg Bell. “Being able to bring Mel to the region to share her message with women in ag is exactly why the Limestone Coast Women in Ag Network has been established. We hope that Mel will empower women in our region to build financial skills and awareness, helping them to become more prepared for and resilient to the impacts of drought”.

Mel is offering everyone who purchases a ticket by 31 October the opportunity to be put in the draw to win one free place in her My Financial Adulting Plan course (valued at $997) and if you're one of the first 10 ticket purchases you'll receive a copy of her Unf*ck Your Finances book.

The Limestone Coast Women in Ag Network (LCWiAN) is a network for women in the agriculture industry in the Limestone Coast to communicate with and support each other in both a social and a professional capacity, building strong connectedness in the region.

MacKillop Farm Management Group is coordinating the network and is excited to work with DairySA, Lucerne Australia, the Grassland Society of Southern Australia, Coorong Tatiara Local Action Plan, Women in Business and Regional Development, WoTL (Women Together Learning) and the Limestone Coast Landscape Board to establish the network.
