Vetch demonstrations 

See the legumes in mixed farming rotations demonstration site and hear about the benefits of incorporating vetch into your mixed farming system and the impact of nitrogen under three treatments of vetch – graze and terminate, terminate only and ungrazed, carry through to harvest.

Barley trials 

See the barley trial site and hear about the trial examining the best barley varieties to use for a grain and graze system while maximising grain yield. 

Find out how new barley varieties compare under a ‘spare no expense’ fertiliser regime and what is the new yield frontier in sandy soils, how does sowing time and controlled grazing impact biomass production and yield? Find out about crop protection products for grazed barley.
