You are invited to attend the upcoming “Dry Feed to Dollars” workshop in the lower Limestone Coast.

This workshop will give you practical knowledge and strategies to get the most out of your dry feed, for the best possible nutrition and performance of your animals. 

Using pasture analysis and feed budgeting from selected demonstration sites, the workshop will provide: 

  • Information and knowledge on ruminant nutrition specific to dry feed conditions
  • Strategies to optimise feed utilisation including additives, hay, silage and pasture improvement and 
  • Scenario assessments related to feed management.

You will learn how to:

  • Utilise dry feed and maximise animal performance
  • Assess forage quality and understand nutritional limitations in your enterprise
  • Prepare a feed budget and understand the relative costs of supplementation strategies.

*MFMG Members: $25
additional MFMG primary producer members: $15
non MFMG Members: $100

Michael is the principal of Michael Wilkes Livestock Co, and is passionate about working with Livestock producers to optimise their production systems, tailor nutritional programs and meet greenhouse gas emissions reporting requirements.

Felicity Turner, Turner AgriBusiness

Felicity farms with her husband Mark on their farm at Field in the Upper South East.

She has over 20 years experience in Sustainable Agriculture across the South-East region of SA working predominantly in the field of crop and pasture agronomy and managing projects in mixed farming systems. Through this work she has been exposed to a lot of decision making tools that they have been utilising in their farming business to identify trigger points and allow the business to manage dry times.
