Workshop 1
Board Governance Building Blocks: Governing Rules Explained
In this practical online workshop we will unpack the key elements of the governing documents of not-for-profit associations and companies. We will look at the powers, responsibilities and reporting obligations of office bearers. By the end of the workshop, you will understand how to interpret your community group’s constitution and ensure you’re complying with it.
This workshop will cover definitions of rules / constitution, the importance of establishing clear responsibilities and accountability, key comparisons and differences in legal structures, reviewing constitutions, and much more. A Q&A session will follow the workshop.
A common sense, practical workshop designed to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to contribute to your community.
