- Managing your feedbase - the importance of decision making tools to forecast and budget ration costs
- Nutrition - considering early weaning, what that requires, and alternate feed sources

Following the session, stay for a BBQ, speak with the presenters, catch up with mates, and enjoy some time off-farm.

Presenters
Ash Wachtel, Tailored Livestock Consulting (TLC)
Ashlee is the principal consultant at Tailored Livestock Consulting, based at Robe in the Southeast. She has 11 years’ experience in the livestock industry, after graduating from a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Adelaide. Ash predominantly focusses on intensive and pasture-based sheep and beef production systems, to improve feed efficiency, health of the animal and the amount of saleable product produced. This year’s seasonal challenge has meant most of her consulting has been planning, budgeting, and managing containment feeding, lambing/calving requirements and early weaning.
Dr Brittany Voss, Naracoorte & Penola Veterinarian Centres
Brittany graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2012. After graduating she spent six years working in rural mixed practice in the Southeast of SA before deciding to change fields and specialise in sheep production and medicine. Brittany spent two and a half years as an on-farm advisor for a large sheep cell grazing enterprise where she managed the cell grazing program.
Recently, Brittany completed her certificate in Sheep Worm Management and is an accredited Paraboss Advisor. In her spare time Brittany is a busy mother to two young kids and runs a small beef and sheep operation with her husband.
Brittany is extremely passionate about sheep production and working alongside producers to maximise their production.
Rick Jordan, Rick Jordan & Associates & Gambier Seeds
Currently Manager and owner of Rick Jordan & Associates, Rick is also a part owner and director of Gambier Seeds (a pasture and cropping seeds business in Mount Gambier). Rick consults to a range of clients predominately in the South East of South Australia & Western Districts of Victoria as well as consulting to large scale international agricultural projects. He consults primarily on Strategic development of properties and enterprises. Rick’s key focus is on optimising production and quality parameters of forage systems to meet productivity and profitability goals of client farming enterprises.
