Simon Quilty is one of Australia's leading independent market analysts, and has worked in the meat and livestock sector for 35 years. Simon's first job as a research officer for the Victorian Farmers Federation saw him establish a direct shipping service from Victoria into Japan to open up the Victorian chilled beef market. Simon then moved into the private sector as a meat trader, developing a deep understanding and passion for international trading and product development around the world.

Today, Simon is an independent meat and livestock analyst and brokers swaps on behalf of large financial institutions across the world. He also brokers physical meat products worldwide, working with large international companies across China, India, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the US.

In 2020, Simon also established Global Agritrends Downunder subscription business. Simon’s analysis looks at beef, pork and poultry trends worldwide, giving in-depth analysis two to three times a week on what current global events are occurring.
