Project duration: August 2019 to June 2021

About the project

This project aimed to provide a comprehensive set of technical and diagnostic notes on sandy soils in the Limestone Coast and the Murray Mallee regions of SA. There are more than 2.2 million hectares of sandy soils in the Murray Mallee and the Limestone Coast regions of SA. Although there has been an improvement in crop management and agronomy, there is often a yield gap between the actual yields received and the potential yields based on rainfall in these areas.
