Project duration:  July 2024 - June 2028

About the project

The Zero Net Emissions from Agriculture Cooperative Research Centre (ZNE-Ag CRC) is a multi-stakeholder approach to transitioning Australian agriculture to net-zero, healthy, resilient, and profitable food systems by 2040. Agriculture directly contributes to 16.9% of Australia’s national emissions. The goal is to ensure Australia’s agricultural industries keep growing, whilst simultaneously achieving ZNE by 2040 and exceeding international emissions reduction targets by 2050.

The ZNE-Ag CRC approach will harness and coordinate opportunities to create win-win through rapid research, development and adoption of science and technology-led solutions, driven by industry and government partners.

Project activities

MFMG is a Tier 4 partner in the Zero Net Emissions from Agriculture Cooperative Research Centre ( ZNE CRC).

MFMG will be involved with all 4 programs of the ZNE CRC.

MFMG will provide in-kind contributions to the CRC, including connecting researchers with farmers, ensuring research is practical and adds value to local members’ businesses, and conducting extension and adoption activities to ensure that research is adopted on farm.
