About the project

The PIRSA eID Advantage Producer Group will bring producers together to explore and share experiences and knowledge on ways that eID technologies can be used in their operation to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.

The discussion group sessions will be designed by the group, for the group, based on their feedback and expressions of interest submitted to date, specific goals of individuals in the group and the project goals and outcomes above.

Discussion group sessions will focus on:

  • producers sharing how they are currently using eID technologies and infrastructure

  • what they would like to examine further and

  • the opportunities to use data collected to assist with and improve livestock productivity, efficiency and profitability in their businesses

  • guest speaker

Individual producer eID plans will be developed to assist with strategies and implementation of eID for further leveraging. Peer-to-peer learning will assist in seeing how technologies and infrastructure is implemented by others, in addition to hearing from guest speakers on how to use the data to make better decisions and manage herds.
