Project manager: MFMG team

Project duration: December 2021 to June 2025

About the project

This project will deliver local development and extension to close the economic yield gap and maximise farming systems benefits from grain legume production.

This will be achieved through the delivery of grower-driven grain legume validation and demonstration trials across South Australian sub-regions to address these gaps.

The project includes validation sites and on farm demonstration sites across South Australia.

Trials undertaken will focus on:

  1. Economic impacts of grain legumes on farm profitability
  2. Disease and integrated weed management in grain legumes
  3. Flexible responses to emerging grower issues, primarily arising from the GRDC Grower Networks
