2011 Trial Results

The MacKillop Farm Management Group is pleased to present their trial results for 2011. They hope that you will refer to this publication and trust you find this information valuable.

A large number of farmers and research and technical officers have been involved in the trial program in 2011. The MacKillop Farm Management Group would like to sincerely thank all of those involved and acknowledge that without the support of these people the trial program would not be possible.

The MacKillop Farm Management Group would also like to acknowledge the many hours that are put in by Trent Potter and the SARDI team at Struan; Matthew Hosking, Ian Ludwig and Carolyne Hilton. The Group would like to thank them for their continued commitment to trials in our region.

A special thanks goes out to both Jack Kay and Robert Stacey who have left the SARDI team in the past 6 months. Between them they have clocked up approximately 67 years working for the New Variety Agronomy Team at Struan and their involvement in R&D in the South-East will be remembered for years to come.
Jack has been a committee member for several years and has had a major role in the trial programmes as well as often being a host grower. We will miss their input into SARDI greatly, and wish them both well in the future.

Thanks must also be given to our sponsors and funding bodies, without them we could not undertake our extensive trial programme. Major funding bodies and trial sponsors include the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF through Caring for Our Country) and The South East NRM Board.
