FARMING AFTER THE DROUGHT IN-SEASON DECISION MAKING WORKSHOPS
The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) commissioned the Mackillop Farm Management Group (MFMG) to deliver a series of in-season decision making workshops to support growers throughout the Upper South East of South Australia.
The workshops provided local growers and their advisors with the necessary information and tools to manage the production and financial risks for the remainder of the 2016 season.
Special guest speakers Kate Burke (Think Agri) and local agronomists shared agronomic and financial information to support growers’ decision making following two drought years.

Sowing, budget and cash flow review
Current agronomy status within your region
Upcoming decisions
- Nitrogen budgeting and applications
- Yield Prophet
- In-season weed control
- Pest and disease management
Seasonal outlook and scenario analysis
