New faces join the Mackillop Farm Management Group

The Mackillop Farm Management Group is expanding its team to continue to keep members up to date and informed on trials, agricultural innovation and activities.


Keith farmer Charlie Crozier is the newly appointed Extension Coordinator for the Mackillop Farm Management Group (MFMG). Charlie will oversee;

  • Project Management and Development
  • Facilitation of the Operations Committee
  • Event Planning  

Charlie’s past roles include the inaugural executive officer for Lucerne Australia, Grants Officer for Tatiara District Council, and being a member of the Murraylands Regional Development Board. Charlie is looking forward to the challenges working for MFMG will provide. “I love being a farmer but I also like to take the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills” says Charlie.



Penny Moorhouse is undertaking the Communications Coordinator role for MFMG after recently moving to Keith in the upper South East. She has previously spent around 17 years (in between having children and helping her husband run their agricultural contracting business), producing the Mornings program at ABC South East in Mount Gambier. Penny looks forward to the challenge of working on the ‘other side’ of media relations!



MFMG CEO of 8 years, Krysteen McElroy welcomes the new staff, “we want to provide our members and our sponsors with the most up-to-date information and we believe that by adding more people to our team we can operate more efficiently. There are farmers doing really innovative things and we would love to hear from them in order for us to showcase their efforts. Jan Teate who has held the position of Administrative Assistant for the past six months will continue to do so and we encourage people to get to know us and contact us with any queries.”
